Our Focus Areas
We’ve identified four of the most pressing needs facing families in the East Bay.
-
Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty. We invest in partners who remove barriers to learning (from early childhood programs to adult literacy and workforce development) so that every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
-
Stable housing is the foundation of a healthy life. We partner with organizations providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and wrap-around services to help individuals and families regain stability and build a path toward permanent housing.
-
No one should go to bed hungry! We support community partners who distribute nutritious meals, operate food pantries, and connect families to benefits programs — ensuring that people across the East Bay have reliable access to the food they need to thrive.
-
Young people in the foster system face unique challenges that can follow them into adulthood. We work alongside partners who provide mentorship, educational support, life skills training, and safe spaces to help foster youth build resilience and envision a hopeful future.
Our Community Partners
We’re meeting these urgent needs through our network of 18+ Community Partners, who we select based on their sustainable programs & aligned missions.
