A one of a kind immersive experience exploring the intersection of grief and hope. Some have even called it an “intuitive exhibit”, We Go On is an evening designed to help you hold on to hope. Through storytelling, music, visuals, laughter, and connection with others We Go On Tour helps you take a next step toward healing. We’ve learned that sometimes the smallest steps are the most important ones.

Hope & Generosity

Details

You can bring hope to a weary world by supporting our community partners as they serve our most vulnerable neighbors. Give generously of your time by volunteering at one of our partner sites and/or giving generously of your resources by providing gifts of canned food, gently used coats, and unwrapped toys. Our drop off sites make it easy for you to help multiple organizations in one easy stop. Plus, you can meet the Project Peace leadership and grab some festive cookies and hot cocoa. Join us December 7 and 8!

How you can be involved:

Saturday, December 7

1. SERVE:

Join us on December 7 from 9-11am for a Morning of Service at one of our two partner sites:

  • NEW Community Partner! Lockwood STEAM Academy (East Oakland)

2. GIVE:

We are collecting toys, gently used coats, and canned goods for Bay Area Rescue Mission, Harbor House, CityTeam, Care Cottage, Contra Costa Foster Friends, and Monument Crisis Center. The Project Peace staff will be there to meet and greet you and share a cup of cocoa! Drop off your donation at First Covenant Church of Oakland from 9am to 11am

Justin Giboney, attorney, author of Compassion and Conviction and co-founder of the AND Campaign will discuss our calling to participate in politics and will share how we can do it well.

Project Peace East Bay is pleased to welcome you to Tutor Our Towns! Come serve our East Bay communities together.

Did you know that nearly 70% of low-income students in our community are reading below grade level and that waitlists for reading assistance are exploding?

The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the challenges that children face. From learning loss to increased food insecurity and mental health issues, our community's children need our support more than ever. Volunteer your time as a tutor.

We have community partners who are already walking alongside children and families, working to help children thrive. Register to support these partners and further contribute to the welfare of children in the East Bay!

School Year 2023-2024

LOCATION:
We have partner organizations in Oakland, Livermore, Pleasant Hill, Concord, and Pittsburg.
